The '''Battle of the [[Tower]]''' was an engagement between the [[Parshendi]] and the combined armies of the highprinces [[Dalinar Kholin|Dalinar]] and [[Torol Sadeas|Sadeas]] which occurred on the [[Tower]].
Dalinar convinced Sadeas to team up onfor a bridge-runjoint plateau assault. After spotting a gem-heartchrysalis on the Tower Plateau Sadeas setand offDalinar foragreed that Sadeas forces led into the Towerbattle and Dalinar followed with a few lent bridges from Sadeas. This because Dalinar refused to use bridgemen on the initial assault. Once there, easilySadeas outpacingand Dalinar's slower,armies chull-drawnattacked bridgesthe Parshendi from different sides.
Once there, Sadeas and Dalinar's armies attack the Parshendi. Sadeas then abandonsabandoned Dalinar, pulling his army out of the battle. Dalinar iswas beaten by [[Eshonai]], the Parshendi [[Shardbearer]]. [[Kaladin]] and [[Bridge Four]] staystayed behind Sadeas' army and helphelped Dalinar and his surviving men retreat. Kaladin incapacitated the Parshendi Shardbearer, giving Dalinar the opportunity to retreat too.
After returning to camp, Dalinar traded [[Oathbringer]] for all of Sadeas' [[bridgecrew]]s. He gave Kaladin the lead, and started usingassignet Bridge Four as a his personal guard. He convinced [[Elhokar]] to name him [[Highprince of War]].
