When Alendi's travelling party was almost at their destination, [[Rashek]] killed Alendi and entered the Well of Ascension in his place. During [[Ascension of the Lord Ruler|his Ascension]], Rashek used to power to remake the world and create a number of new species including the [[Mistwraith]]s.
