[[Honor]] refers to them in [[Dalinar]]'s final vision, worried how humanity will survive without Dawnshards{{ref|b|TWoK|e|11}}, which suggests that the Dawnshards do not exist anymore. It is not clear what the Dawnshards exactly are, or what function they had, beyond vague legends.
