Teshav's abilities with reading and writing allow her to act as a scribe for both her husband and Dalinar.{{book ref|sa1|18}} She has also acted as an advisor to Dalinar, and the Highprince views her as one of the best political minds in Alethkar.{{book ref|sa3|12}} She works closely with her husband, developing efficient patterns of patrol for Dalinar's soldiers fighting bandits.{{book ref|sa1|18}}

Teshav
Teshav is present as an advisor during Dalinar's attempts to contact the other monarchs to unify [[Roshar]] against the [[voidbringers]], providing insight on the nations of [[Thaylenah]] and [[Azir]].{{book ref|sa3|12}} She acted as a guide to [[Taravangian]] and his retinue during their first visit to [[Urithiru]].{{book ref|sa3|24}} Teshav also acted as a scribe to [[Fen_Rnamdi|Queen Fen]] for Dalinar and Navani.{{book ref|sa3|28}}
She was present in the command post at the top of the city during the battle of Thaylen City, and afterwards makes Shallan tea. Shallan notes that the tea is bitter and likely has something in it to keep Teshav on her feet, noting scribes always know the best tea for those type of purposes. {{book ref|sa3|121}}▼

Following the conflict in Thaylen City, Teshav acted as a head scribe for the coalition military forces. She oversaw many of the battle reports, and provided the [[Dieno|Mink]] with the necessary information after his arrival in Urithiru.{{book ref|sa4|17}}
Teshav joined Dalinar and his forces at battlefront in [[Emul]], and worked alongside other scribes and generals in the war effort. She reported the results of the Veden betrayal to Dalinar and his allies.
