@[[User:LadyLameness]] Apologies if I went a bit overboard on editing for my own style; perhaps I ought to use a lighter touch going forward. I do think the "In [the] modern day" addition really should be there, though. As far as I'm aware, one might use "modern-day" as an adjective, as in "In modern-day Roshar", or refer to the period directly with "In the modern day", but just "In modern day" looks very strange to me. Perhaps it's a BrE/AmE difference? I couldn't find any mention of it online, but I know that, for instance, "in future" and "in hospital" are used in BrE in a way that they are not in AmE. Definitely could be a difference in American/British English - my concern with that one sentence is that there's a lot of uses of the word ''the'' really close together and it sounds quite repetitve when read aloud. Perhaps it's worth changing the start of the sentence entirely? Maybe, 'Modern day Purelakers are more likely...' ? What do you think?
