== History ==
The Azish kingdom was choosing a new Prime. At the Royal Palace the viziers, scribes, and arbiters were all given a chance to fill out the proper paperwork to apply to take the place of the new Prime. No one wanted the job. The last two Prime’s were murdered in the same week and with many Monarchs and Highprinces kills within the last two months made it obvious that new Prime would be killed as shortly.
That night Gawx followed his uncle on breaking in to steal from them. [[Lift]] partnered with him but did not follow the rules and went to the main dining room. [[Nale]] comes for her. In the process of taking her, the take [[Gawx]] for her surrender, as she doesn't move, they kill him. Lift reaches him and using her Edgedancer's investiture, heals him before he is fully dead. The Azish believe Gawx had performed a miracle and chose him Prime, he “pardons” Lift and Nale has to let her go.{{book ref|sa2|i|9}}
