While waiting out the highstorm, Adolin encountered Sadeas. Sadeas tried to engage Adolin in conversation about fashion and Adolin thought about how much he wanted to kill the highprince, but knew that it would only lead to his own execution or exile. Sadeas revealed that he has renounced the title of [[Highprince of Information]]. Adolin interpretted this as a rejection of the King's authority. Sadeas went on to say that he was glad Adolin survived the Tower and that he would make a fine highprince in the upcoming months and in ten years he and Adolin would have a fine alliance. Adolin countered with saying he'd have killed Sadeas by then. When Adolin returned to his father's bunker, he found the bridgemen around another mysterious message. Adolin had them summon Navani. Dalinar believed he might have made the markings during one of his fits because they were made with his knife but Adolin pointed out anyone could have taken it to do this. Dalinar and Navani were of a different opinion however.{{book ref|sa2|50}}
