La actitud de Sondeluz en el momento de su Retorno era de apatía.{{book ref|wb|38}} Tras conocer a Calmavidente e iniciar con ella una relación de respeto mutuo (que con el tiempo se volvió física), adquiere un estímulo para convertirse en el dios que todos esperaban de él y abandona su actitud perezosa. El tiro le sale por la culata cuando fracasa estrepitosamente, dejando a sus seguidores insatisfechos y a los demás dioses burlándose de él por ser un hipócrita. Culpa de su fracaso a los demás dioses, que no se tomaron en serio su nueva actitud, y vuelve a sus costumbres perezosas con un ingenio recién agudizado que soltó con toda la venganza que pudo reunir. Nadie se sintió ofendido por sus ataques verbales, sino que se consideró natural que actuara así, y así continuó con esta actitud.{{wob ref|6958}}
Lightsong's attitude at the time of his returning was one of indolence.{{book ref|wb|38}} After meeting Calmseer and starting a relationship of mutual respect turned physical with her, he gains a drive to become the god everyone expected him to be and gives up his lazy ways. This backfires when he fails miserably, leaving his followers dissatisfied and the other gods mocking him for being a hypocrite. He blames his failure on the other gods who would not take his new attitude seriously, and reverts back to his languorous ways with a newly sharpened wit which he let loose with as much vengeance as he could muster. Allmother surprised him by giving him the security phrase to her Lifeless.
