He was part of a strike team that attempted to retake the [[Oathgate]] during the [[Siege of Kholinar]].{{book ref|sa3|83}} Shaday held out hope that the [[Voidbringer]]s and members of the corrupted [[Kholinar#Palace_Guard|Palace Guard]] would turn on each other, but Elhokar dismissed the possibility.{{book ref|sa3|83}} Although a few individuals made it to the Oathgate,{{book ref|sa3|85}} the Kholin army was overrun by the [[Singers]].{{book ref|sa3|84}} Shaday's fate is unknown, but he was likely killed or enslaved along with the other defenders of Kholinar.
