'''Sel''' is the planet on which [[Elantris]] is set. An Earthlike Shardworld, Sel is inhabited by humans and artificially created beings called Seons. The planet is renowned for being the location of Elantris, the city of the gods. By the time of the book Sel is dominated by the Fjordell Empire, with Arelon and Teod being the only remaining free nations. Known nations on Sel include Arelon, Teod, Fjorden, Duladel, Jindo, Svorden, Jaardor and Hraggen. All these nations (except the island-state Teod) are situated on the continent of Opelon (named Sycla by the Fjordells). Sel is orbited by one moon.▼
