Roy Sheldon was one of Alcatraz Smedry's latest foster parents along with his wife Joan Sheldon. He is described as the softer one of the two.[1]
History
Roy and his wife took over caring of Alcatraz Smedry around eight months prior to his thirteenth birthday. After Alcatraz destroyed their kitchen while attempting to make noodles, having lost control of his Talent again, he argued in Alcatraz's favor, insisting on seeing the good side of him. Ms. Fletcher praised Roy and his wife for how long they lasted with looking after Alcatraz, well aware of his destructive tendencies.[1]
During Alcatraz's escape from the Librarian disguised as a foster care caseworker who tried to kill him, Leavenworth Smedry drove a car into the Sheldon's house.[2] This was later repaired by Librarians before either of the Sheldon's noticed and sometime prior to Alcatraz coming back after his defeat of Blackburn. Roy was shocked to see Alcatraz again, but welcomed him back warmly, as he had believed Alcatraz had run off for good.[3]
