His full name is Numuhukumakiaki'aialunamor, but since no one can pronounce it, he goes by Rock. His name is apparently a poem about a rock his father found before he was born.
 
He ended up on the [[Shattered Plains]] because his ''nuatoma'' {(leader) challenged [[Sadeas]] for his [[Shardplate]]. His ''nuatoma'' lost, and his household, whereof which Rock was the cook, was given to Sadeas. Rock became a bridgeman because he cooked chull dung into all of Sadeas's food.
 
Rock is unusual in that he is able to see [[Sylphrena|Syl]] without her specifically wanting him to see her, when asked he simply said it's an ability he was born with.
