Speculation
Though there has been no direct confirmation of which Shard Rayse is bonded too, it is widely believed that he is Odium. Much of the speculation comes from The Letter, in which the author states that Rayse, before taking a shard, was "one of the most loathsome, crafty, and dangerous individuals I had ever met." The letter also state, "He holds the most frightening and terrible of all of the Shards." This, combined with the Almighty's revelation at the end of The Way of Kings that Odium is responsible for his death and the letter implying that Rayse killed Aona and Skai, two other Shards from Sel, form the core of this theory.
