Hace tres generaciones o más, las primeras personas abandonaron Patria para explorar los Bosques.{{book ref|sfs}} Estas personas adoptaron el apellido [[Pionero]]. Algún tiempo después, la [[Maldad]] apareció en Patria. Comenzó a masacrar a la gente que vivía allí. Las pocas personas que sobrevivieron huyeron de Patria y se refugiaron en los Bosques. Algunos dicen que con el tiempo los Pionero volverán a Patria y derrotarán a la Maldad que vive allí.
Three generations or more ago, the first people left Homeland to explore the Forests.{{book ref|sfs}} These people took the surname [[Forescout]]. Sometime after that, the [[Evil]] appeared in Homeland. It began to slaughter the people living in Homeland. The few people who survived fled Homeland and took refuge in the Forests. Some say that eventually the Forescouts will return to Homeland and defeat the Evil living there.

Poco se sabe sobre el modo de vida y la cultura de Patria.{{book ref|sfs}} La gente habla de ella con nostalgia y cuenta historias fantasiosas sobre cómo era, pero casi todos los que alguna vez vieron Patria han muerto. Existe la sensación generalizada de que ideales como el amor y la justicia cayeron con la Patria y no tienen cabida en los Bosques.
Little is known about the way of life and culture of Homeland.{{book ref|sfs}} People speak of it wistfully and tell fanciful stories about what it was like there, but most everyone who had ever seen Homeland have died. There is a general sense that ideals such as love and justice fell with the Homeland and have no place in the Forests.
 
El pueblo de Patria tenía una religión consagrada al [[Dios del Más Allá]].{{book ref|sfs}} Se desconocen sus ritos, su doctrina e incluso su nombre. Se simbolizaba con una daga. Algunas personas tenían verdaderas dagas de plata como adornos, con símbolos de lo divino grabados en ellas a modo de protección. Incluso en los Bosques, algunos seguían adorando al Dios del Más Allá y le dedicaban pequeños altares.
The people of Homeland had a religion devoted to the [[God Beyond]].{{book ref|sfs}} Its rites, doctrine, and even name are unknown. It was symbolized by a dagger. Some people had actual silver daggers as ornaments with symbols of the divine carved into it as a warding. Even in the Forests, some still worshiped the God Beyond and kept small altars to Him.
