En algún momento, Notum se convierte en capitán del ''[[Sendero de Honor]]''. A principios de {{rosharan date|1174}}, Notum y su tripulación atracan en [[Celebrant]].{{book ref|sa3|102}} Tras unos disturbios en la ciudad, el barco se preparar para huir, pero cuando Syl grita a su barco, revelando su identidad, Notum los lleva a ella y a sus acompañantes a bordo. Inicialmente, Notum confina a los [[Caballeros Radiantes|Radiantes]] y sus [[spren]] en sus camarotes; sin embargo, después de una semana de viaje, los libera a todos excepto a Syl, alegando que es deshonroso retener a personas que no son prisioneros en contra de su voluntad. A pesar del peligro que representa para su tripulación, Notum les permite escapar del barco para que Syl pueda evadir a los Fusionados. After several hours spent trying to outrun the Fused, Notum agreed to help. He freed Syl and had his crew unlatch a section of the hull for the Radiants and their spren to escape through. [[Vivenna|Azure]] asked him to have his crew cut bales of cloth into [[Awakening|specific shapes]], and Notum gave the order even though he did not understand the reason. Notum allowed them to escape the ship, despite the danger it posed to his crew, so that Syl could escape the Fused. He believed that his crew would be captured and tortured shortly thereafter;{{book ref|sa3|110}} in fact, he spent five months in prison before being demoted to the lowest rank possible, exiled from Lasting Integrity, and assigned two centuries' time patrolling the empty land surrounding Lasting Integrity. He wandered the area with a small group that included a few armed [[Reachers]], able to see Lasting Integrity but unable to visit it.{{book ref|sa4|30}}
