She was suspected of betraying Kelsier when his crew infiltrated [[Kredik Shaw]] a number of years before the plot of ''[[Mistborn: {{b|mb1}}]]''.{{cite}}
It is discovered later that the [[Lord Ruler]] was able to pierce the crew's smoker [[copper]]cloud and was able to sense Mare burning [[tin]].<ref>[[Vin]] can pierce [[copper]]clouds</ref>
She died in the [[Pits of Hathsin]] after being caught in Kredik Shaw.
This event triggered Kelsier's snapping, and he escaped the Pits soon after.{{cite}}
