Like all Herdazians, Lopen has brownslate-colored haircrystalline andfingernails. deepHe tanis skina whichshort, isspindly, brown-haired man with skin just a shade too dark to be Alethi. His fingernails are slate-colored and crystalline. He had an old slave brand on his forehead, whichbut that is now covered with a [[Bridge Four#Tattoos|Bridge Four tattoo]]. He looks a little flabby around the waist. Most strikingly, when he joins Bridge Four he is missing his left arm{{book ref|sa1|32}}{{17s ref|post|117224|text=Minor Lopen Question|date=2014-03-18}}, although he eventually regrows it with Stormlight.{{book ref|sa2|87}}
Lopen has a very positive outlook in life.
