He brings King [[Elhokar]] to his family's home for a period of time to hide him. Lopen's mother forces him to eat, claiming that no king can tell a Herdazian mother what to do in her own home. They don't want to have to lie when they tell people that they don't have King Elhokar with them, so they persuade him to abdicate in favor of Lopen for about fifteen minutes {{wob ref \|1703\|Arcanum Unbounded Release Party\|date=2016/11/22}}. He is ~~eventually~~currently aone ~~squire~~of Kaladin's squires, and volunteers to teach some of the hopefuls who want to join Bridge Four.
