Lodazal, junto con sus compañeros de escuadrón, acompañó al [[Escuadrón Cielo]] en una misión rutinaria para marcar restos. Cuando [[Jorgen]] llamó la atención a algunos de los miembros del otro escuadrón por tratar de molestar al Escuadrón Cielo, Lodazal se burló de él, preguntándose en broma de dónde venía el identificador de Jorgen, Caracapullo.{{book ref|Skyward|46}}
Bog, along with his flight mates [[Nose]], [[Tunestone]], [[Sushi]], and [[Nord]] accompanied [[Skyward Flight]] in a routine mission to tag debris. When [[Jorgen]] called out some of Nightmare Flight for trying to haze Skyward Flight, Bog made fun of him, jokingly wondering where Jorgen callsign, Jerkface, came from.{{book ref|Skyward|46}}

Más tarde, cuando el grupo fue atacado por naves [[varvax|krell]], Lodazal recibió la orden de su jefe de escuadrón, Napia, de volar a la defensiva y vigilar a las [[aniquiladora]]s hasta que llegaran los refuerzos. Durante la batalla, fue alcanzado por fuego enemigo, que destruyó sus escudos. Al oír su llamada de socorro, el Escuadrón Cielo fue tras los krell que le apuntaban, consiguiendo desviar a tres de las cuatro naves que le seguían. Mientras, Lodazal se alejó cada vez más y empezó a realizar maniobras cada vez más erráticas y temerarias para evitar ser alcanzado por el fuego enemigo. Spensa, que se había colocado detrás de él para perseguirle, consiguió atravesar la nave krell con su lanza de luz y sacarla de su trayectoria y alejarla de la otra nave. Al hacerlo, sin embargo, dio a los krell que seguían a Spensa la oportunidad de alcanzarla con sus destructores, lo que la obligó a eyectarse de su Poco para salvar su vida.{{book ref|Skyward|47}}
Later, when the group were attacked by [[Krell]] ships, Bog was ordered by his flightleader, Nose, to fly defensively and keep an eye out for [[Lifebuster]]s until reinforcements arrived. During the battle, Bog was hit by enemy fire, which destroyed his shields. Hearing his mayday call, Skyward Flight went after the [[Krell]] who were targeting Bog, managing to divert three of the four ships that were tailing him. While being chased, Bog moved further out into the open and began to use increasingly erratic and reckless manoeuvres to avoid being hit by enemy fire. Spensa, who had fallen in behind Bog to chase down his tail, managed to spear the Krell ship using her light-lance and pull it off of its path and away from Bog. Doing so, however, allowed the Krell tailing Spensa the opportunity to hit her with their destructors, ultimately forcing Spensa to eject from her Poco in order to save her life.{{book ref|Skyward|47}}
