Cuando Waxillium Ladrian tomó el camino para dirigirse a la mansión de Kelesina para acudir a la [[fiesta de Keleshina Shores|fiesta]] con [[Steris Harms]], Hoid escaló los arbustos sorprendiendo a Wax.{{book ref|mb6|11}} Queriendo revelar la resurrección de Kelsier y su identidad como el Soberano,{{wob ref|1727}} Hoid buscó una oportunidad para pasarle la mente de metal liberada. Pidió a Wax algunos clips.{{book ref|mb6|11}} Steris se percató de la colonia de Hoid y le preguntó si llevaba perfume. Hoid perplejo aseguró que llevaba una temporada bebiendo colonia, dado que “pegaba fuerte”. Steries le comentó sobre lo poco saludable que es esa práctica y Wax le recomendó que dejara la propiedad. Hoid estaba de acuerdo pero aseguró que el lugar era suyo y de nuevo le pidió a Wax unas monedas. Wax le dio un cheque y repitió que se marchara. Hoid se quejó diciendo que le había dado demasiado, que tan solo buscaba unas monedas. Mientras Wax se marchaba Hoid le lanzó una moneda a la cabeza, Wax cazó la moneda en pleno vuelo. Uno de los guardias descubrió a Hoid y comenzó a perseguirlo. Hoid riéndose escapó por los arbustos de nuevo.

Hoid's relationship with [[Sigzil]] seems similar to that of Jasnah and Shallan.
