== Post-Reod ==
After the [[Reod]], the Elantrian people stopped self-healing and so any injuries, however minor, never stopped causing them pain. Since the Elantrians stayed immortal, some sank beneath the weight of the their pain, losing their minds, staying mostly at the same place and a lot of them always mumbled their own mantra.{{book ref|Elantris|4}}▼
