The '''Hoed''' were a group of [[Elantrian]]s that had accumulated so many injuries that they were effectively comatose from the pain.
After the [[Reod]], the Elantrian people stopped self-healing and so any injuries, however minor, never stopped causing them pain. Since the Elantrians stayed immortal, when the pain became too much they just stopped living and became comatose.
Hoed can be relieved from their pain if they are taken to a nearby [[Shardpool]], which vaporizes their bodies.▼
