The '''Hoed''' were a group of [[Elantrian]]s that had accumulated so many injuries that they were effectively comatose from the pain.{{ref|b|e|c|4}}
After the [[Reod]], the Elantrian people stopped self-healing and so any injuries, however minor, never stopped causing them pain. Since the Elantrians stayed immortal,
[[Raoden]] looked for them and brought them to a house, which they called the Hall of the Fallen,{{ref|b|e|c|25}} where they were cared for.{{ref|b|e|c|19}} Raoden, too, was not immune to it.
The Hoed could be relieved from their pain by being taken to [[Aona]]s [[Shardpool]] which vaporized their bodies.▼
