== History ==
Prior to working as a federal inspector, Harding was a soldier at the [[Tower of Nebrask]].
He is sent to [[Armedius Academy]] to investigate the disappearance of [[Lilly Whiting]], which becomes the case of the Scribbler.
[[Thomas York|Principal York]] assigns him Professor [[Fitch]] to assist in the investigation.{{book ref|Rithmatist|6}}
Harding, however, was the Scribbler. [[Chalkling#Wild Chalklings|Wild chalklings]] under the command of his Forgotten has consumed William Muns, and he traveled to Armedius to continue this work.{{book ref|Rithmatist|24}} He first attacked and consumed [[Lilly Whiting]], to spread panic between the students. He then insists students to stay at school under his protection, killing [[Charles Calloway]], the son of a knight senator, to further discourage any thoughts on leaving the school.{{book ref|Rithmatist|23}} After all students are concentrated at the school as he planned, he goes on, attacking and consuming the students. Eventually, he is stopped by [[Fitch]], [[Melody]] and [[Joel]], and the people consumed by his wild chalklings are released.{{book ref|Rithmatist|24}}
