  • He gained knowledge of all three Metallic Arts on Scadrial, allowing him to develop the three hemalurgic constructs that existed in the Final Empire.

This is mentioned in the Hero of Ages epigraphs on page 304; "It is a testament to Hemalurgy's complexity that, despite a thousand years of trying, he never managed to create anything with it beyond the three kinds of creatures he developed during those few brief moments holding the power."

I included that he created the three hemalurgic constructs with knowledge gained from the power in the list of how he changed Scadrial as a whole, but I'm uncertain that it should be included there, if at all? --Shroom (talk) 09:42, 11 August 2012 (UTC)

Move the page back. A name he used to use a thousand years ago isn't how anyone calls him. Even *Brandon* calls him 'The Lord Ruler', and that should be good enough. After all, we don't name the Ruin page 'Ati'. PhantomMonstrosity (talk) 14:59, 28 November 2014 (UTC)

I think the move was perfectly legitimate, Rashek is his name, "Lord Ruler" is just a title, and it's policy not to use title as page-names. Also Ruin and Ati are different concepts, as a result they have their own pages.--WeiryWriter (talk) 21:32, 28 November 2014 (UTC)

There is a lot we don't know about Rashek. One WoB mentions he once attempted to destroy the Final Empire, another mentions he had kids, another mentions luthadel is named after someone. We need a Speculation section for this guy.

Having a look at those wobs, the first two - attempts to destroy TFE and his children - are better mentioned in his history section as they are about Rashek's life in particular. The Luthadel ones aren't specifically about Rashek so shouldn't be on this page unless we get further confirmation that makes the connection between Lutha and Rashek clearer. But in terms of the 'why's' of these wobs - why did he try and destroy the empire, who were his children, who was Lutha etc - those are better put on the 17thShard Forum's as it would be straight theorizing. Most of the time speculation is only really appropriate if it fills a necessary gap in writing instead of being compounded off of writing that already exists (the Nohadon Abilities and Attributes or Miles Dagouter Hemalurgy sections are good examples of this). Speculation should also be heavily referenced and be as near factual as possible and I don't think there's much that can be said in any of these wobs beyond what they literally contain. Good question to ask either way and thank you for reaching out. In this case though, a speculation section wouldn't be acceptable on this page. Cheers, LadyLameness (talk) 01:28, 13 October 2020 (UTC)
