When Nikli and the other Sleepless boarded the ''Wandersail'', Cord revealed that she did not know the Sleepless could take human form, that they cannot be fought, and that [[Lunu'anaki]], possibly in reference to [[Hoid]], during her grandmother's time, warned of the danger the Sleepless present. Nikli tells Cord that he did not expect the presence of a Sighted on the expedition, and that the Sleepless do not kill Sighted lightly.
