Corl ran the edge of the deathline along with [[Leyten]], [[Murk]], [[Adis]], and [[Kaladin]] during one of Kaladin's first bridebridge runs as bridgeleader.{{book ref|sa1|17}} As they approached the contested plateau, Corl was hit by [[Parshendi]] arrows and fell. After the assult, Kaladin ordered the bridgemen to look for Corl and the other fallen bridgemen, but Corl was found already dead.
