Estaba buscando pruebas de la existencia de [[cervespren]] emborrachandose en algún lugar de [[Kasitor]] cuando recibió una paliza por parte de gente desconocida, fue robado de sus pertenencias, y dejado por muerto en un callejón. Axies se despertó el día siguiente desnudo, tirado en una pila de verduras podridas que apestaban, pero sólo sufriendo de un dolor de cabeza. Usó su habilidad para suprimir su sentido del olfato y deshacerse del dolor de cabeza. Después conoció a un [[Mendigo (Kasitor)|mendigo]] loco que estaba furioso de que su ciudad de verduras podridas hubiera sido destruida. El mendigo pregunta a Axies si es un [[Portador del Vacío]] o un [[Heraldo]] debido a la destrucción que ha causado a su ciudad. Después de proclamar que es un Portador del Vacío, Axies astutamente convence al mendigo para que le dé su manta, para así no ser arrestado por desnudez pública. Poco después, mientras observaba a [[Cusicesh]] en la ciudad, un niño de la calle le roba la manta y Axies es tomado por los guardias y arrestado por indecencia pública.
He was searching for evidence of the existence of [[alespren]] by getting drunk somewhere in [[Kasitor]] when he was beaten by unknown persons, robbed of his possessions, and left for dead in an alley. Axies awakened the next day naked, lying on a pile of foul-smelling rotted vegetables, and suffering only from a headache. He used his ability to suppress his sense of smell and to banish the headache. He then met a crazy [[Beggar (Kasitor)|beggar]] who was furious that his city of rotted vegetables had been trampled. The beggar asked Axies if he was a [[Voidbringer]] or a [[Herald]] because of the destruction he caused to the beggar's city. After stating that he was a Voidbringer, Axies cleverly convinced the beggar to give him his blanket, so he wouldn’t be arrested for public nudity. Soon after, while observing [[Cusicesh]] in the city, the blanket was stolen from him by a street urchin and Axies was seized by the guards and arrested for public indecency.
 
Later on, [[Rysn]] found Axies hanging upside down from his feet as punishment for offending the religion of the people on one of the [[Reshi Isles]].{{book ref|wor|i|3}}
