Later, Alanik and Arturo talk about why they fight the Superiority, and grow to understand and respect each other's reasons. Arturo volunteers to accompany Alanik on the mission to rescue Rinakin, which annoys Alanik at first, as she thinks he still must not trust her. During the course of the mission she realizes he just wants to help. They engage in friendly conversation, and he helps her choose a callsign.
 
Tras la batalla en ReAlba, Alanik y Arturo pasan mucho tiempo juntos.{{book ref|sf3|3}} Arturo se encarga de que ella esté bien integrada en el Escuadrón Cielo, aunque esto es algo innecesario, pues ella ya es una excelente piloto y se acostumbra rápidamente a volar con ellos. Últimamente, vuela con Alanik como compañera de ala en lugar de [[Nedd]], como de costumbre.{{book ref|sf3|12}} Cuando [[Jorgen]] se comunica citónicamente con Arturo, éste ve que siente algo por Alanik, aunque todavía no hay nada entre ellos.{{book ref|sf3|18}} Parece probable que Alanik sienta lo mismo, aunque la idea de preguntar a Arturo (en particular) sobre los rituales de apareamiento humanos le parece "desorientadora".{{book ref|sf2|22}}
When Alanik is panicking over having killed another pilot, Arturo pulls her aside and pushes her to talk. He helps her think through her feelings and calm down, making sure she's alright before they continue fighting.{{book ref|sf2|21}}
