Aimia was one of the Silver Kingdoms of Roshar that survived the Desolations. As far as can be gleenedgleaned, Aimia existed for most of the Era of Solitude. It was an island kingdom separated from the main continent by the Aimian Sea. TheAccording to Scouring of AimiaAxies, happened according tothe of Aimia happened not long ago, and the remaining Aimians are now rare. It has been long enough for myths and stories about the AimiansAimians to have spread to the general population.twok

Geography
Aimia consists of one large island and several smaller islands off the west coast of Shinovar. Separated from the main continent by the Aimian Sea, the islands have been inaccessible since the Scouring of Aimia. Now Aimia is dangerous to approach, with sailors talking of strange winds and storms that seek out ships. One of the islands is called Akinah. thisThis island is now surrounded by large Soulcast stone spikes. The island atAt one time Akinah was the home of a grand city.

Animals
Many of the animals that are native to the area of Aimia are different from many of the other animals on the Roshar. Unlike Shin animals, Aimian animals fit into the ecosystem of Roshar but have exceptional features that make them distinct, from other creatures.including lancerynLanceryn, known for their large Gemheartstwok, and the larkin, known for directly ingesting Stormlight.sa3

Aimian Races
There are two races of Aimians: Dysian Aimianssa1 and Siah Aimians.sa1 They are non-human sentient beings who possess a form of immortality.edgedancer

Aside from being immortal, both Aimian races have the ability to magically modify their bodies, but to different extents. Siah Aimians, who are characterized by deep blue nails and eyes, have been known to sculpt their bodies to temporarily suppress their senses (e.g. to avoid smelling foul odors), produce tattoo-like markings on their skin, or heal from injuries. They also cast shadows in the wrong directionsa1. On the other hand, Dysian Aimians (who call themselves the Sleepless) can do even more extreme modifications because their body is made up of many cremling-like creatures called hordelings that they breed to perform whatever function that they need. These hordelings can separate from the main body to act as remote agents and can also be used as backup minds to store memories.edgedancer At least one Dysian Amian may have fought in the Aharietiam, as Dalinar Kholin notices a heap of burned corpses of some variety of strange cremlings. For which side they may have fought, or if this part of the vision depicts the remains of a Sleepless, is, however, unknown at this pointtime.
