Dalinar was raised in the Vorin religion; his [[Calling]] is to be a leader, and his chosen [[Glory]] is determination.{{book ref|sa1|18}} At some point in his life, he joined a lay devotary called the Order of [[Talenelat]].{{book ref|sa1|54}} However, over time his faith wavers, and his visions lead him to conclude that the [[Almighty]] is dead.
