Also known as the Releasers, they claimed to have been misjudged by the people because of the nature of their powers and the similarity in their name to the Voidbringers. They always disliked being called Dustbringers and tried to get people to address them as Releasers, but this didn't fully work, since "the new name didn't catch on".{{wob ref|date=2015-8-1|3607|/r/books AMA 2015}}
Some of the other Knights Radiant felt that they were "on the edge" and did not get along with them. This included the Skybreakers, despite the two orders' similarities.{{wob ref|11988}}
