'''Nedd Strong''' (callsign '''Nedder''') is a cadet in [[DDF]] [[Flight School]] and pilot number two in Skyward Flight.{{book ref|sky1|8}}{{book ref|sky1|9}} He is one of the two assistant flightleaders, along with Arturo, of [[Skyward Flight]].{{book ref|sky1|8}} He is familiar with military protocol, likely due to his two older brothers who are both pilots in the DDF.{{book ref|sky1|8}}
== Appearance and Personality ==
Nedd is 193 centimeters tall,{{book ref|Skyward|23}} and has a faint accent that is normally associated with those from the lower caverns.{{book ref|sky1|10}} He is good natured,{{cite}} easy going,{{cite}} and friendly,{{book ref|sky1|10}} easily befriending many of his fellow flightmates during the early days of Flight School.{{book ref|sky1|10}} He is quick to joke with others in a friendly manner.{{book ref|sky1|12}}
== Attributes and Abilities ==
During Flight School Nedd trains to pilot a Poco, perform aerial maneuvers, and use its weaponry. He has some knowledge of piloting and starfighters, and has some prior practical experience in flying and dogfighting from before Flight School.{{book ref|sky1|10}} However, he lacks the theoretical understanding of starfighters and flying that is known by those in the flight who either took the entrance exam or have previously studied piloting.{{book ref|sky1|14}} As well as this, his previous practical experience has either not been extensive or not involved flying with a wingmate as at the beginning of his training he tended to fly too far away from his partner during battle,{{book ref|sky1|10}} and he is not completely aware of all the controls in his ship.{{book ref|sky1|12}}
