The conflict began when the Emuli claimed the city [[Sesemalex Dar]] as their capital city, and due to the city being a successful trading city, the Tukari wanted the city for themselves. The Emuli also claim that the city is their ancestral homeland, and a gift from the [[Herald]]s, because the city's pattern is central to their religion. The city is also believed to be one of the [[Dawncities]], which is likely another cause for the conflict.{{book ref|twok|54}}
