The Hero of Ages is a prophesied saviour who is supposed to take the power of the Well of Ascension and use it to save the world.
Prophecy
This figure featured strongly in the Terris religion however these prophecies were altered a great deal by Ruin in order to fulfil his own ends.
Resolution
As seen in the end of Book shorthand incorrect the original prophecy referred to Sazed who assumed the role when he took the powers of both Ruin and Preservation.
