Su alteza real, la brillante Fen Rnamdi es la reina de Thaylenah,[1] una isla reino en Roshar.
Apariencia y personalidad
Fen tiene una cara oval, ojos amarillos, y cejas blancas thayleñas que mantiene rizadas colgando por sus mejillas. Deja que su canoso pelo caiga para cubrir sus hombros.[2] Cuando habla con confianaza, la reina Fen puede ser muy directa hasta llegar a ser borde. Sin embargo, cuando vuelve al "habla regia", significa que ha perdido confianza en la conversación.[1] Quiere que la conversación sea genuina y honesta.[2]

Atributos y habilidades
Fen es una habilidosa política que entiende de estrategia e interacciones con otros reinos.[3] Durante una visita a una visión con Dalinar, exhibió sus habilidades de liderazgo, ya que fue capaz de organizar el pueblo y enfrentar al enemigo.[2]
Historia
Después de la tormenta eterna
La tormenta eterna golpeó Thaylenah varias veces, causando mucho daño. La tormenta rompió sus acueductos y sistema de alcantarillado y detrozó sus muelles. Tuvieron que reconstruir la ciudad. Los parshmenios se transformaron, robaron una gran flota de buques de guerra reales y buques mercantes privados y los usaron para huir de la ciudad.
En ese momento, ella fue contactada por Dalinar. No contemplaba ir a Urithiru y sospechaba aún más de las Puertas Juradas y los Radiantes.[1] No quería ser la responsable de que Thaylenah cayese ante los alezi.[4]
Visiones de Dalinar
La primera visión que Dalinar pidió para que Fen recibiese fueron los Radiantes cayendo del cielo para luchar contra la esencia de medianoche. Él fue colocado lejos y fue incapaz de alcanzarla hasta que la batalla había pasado. Ella fue capaz de salvar a la niña, aunque dejó que la madre muriese, y organizó el pueblo, enfrentándolos al enemigo. Dalinar se le acercó, pidiendo otra vez que se uniese a su coalición. Consideraría su sinceridad, aunque Dalinar podía sentir que estaba preocupada por si Dalinar había cambiado de bando.[2]
Fue mostrada diferentes visiones, hasta que, en una alta tormenta mañanera, la reina de Thaylenah le pidió a Dalinar que la enviase a la visión de Aharietam, de la que sabía por los reportes publicados de las visiones de Dalinar. De mala gana la envió sola, sin supervisión. Poco más tarde, accedió a recibir a Dalinar en Ciudad Thaylen.[5]
Coalición de Roshar
Upon Dalinar’s arrival at Thaylen City, Fen gave them the tour of the ten temples. Navani believed it comforted her by doing something familiar. She did not intend to linger on the two oldest temples and when Dalinar went to see them, he found out they had used them to keep the wounded people. She left them some food and went to see to other matters, a political strategy to show she was the one with power there. Dalinar then duels her son, purposefully losing to show his radiant powers of healing himself. Upon review, Dalinar regrets this and calls for Renarin to aid in the healing of Fen's people with Progression while Dalinar used his Surgebinding to repair temples and other structures. After both those events, Fen accepted the invitation to join the coalition, and called it the first real united Vorin coalition the world had seen since the Hierocracy.[3]
She later aided Dalinar on getting the Azish to join as well, not only by providing useful tactics, but with a letter to them, asking them to do so.[6]
At the meeting, she and her consort committed to the coalition. She asked for free trade and was curious of the fabrials that could lead to shardplate, but settled to agreements after Navani gave her kingdom the task to oversee trade and supplies fairly.[7] By the next meeting, where Dalinar understood that the target would be Thaylen City, Fen understood and helped plot the defense; they agreed to have the next meeting at Thaylenah.[7]
That meeting started very positive, however, after Taravangian's treason and the leakage of Dalinar’s secrets, the coalition broke. Queen Fen was mostly worried that before Elhokar went to Alethkar, he swore to Dalinar to accept him as Highking. Her trust in him was compromised by this.[8] Bitter as she was, she acknowledged war was still coming and she could not afford to let him go.[9]
Battle of Thaylen City
Just before the battle, Queen Fen, her consort, and Navani were looking at the battlefield from a tower. The odds didn’t look that bad until Amaram’s army turned sides. During the battle itself, they were attacked by a thunderclast that absently destroyed the tower they were in. Navani and Fen were able to go down the surviving steps.[10] Navani, Fen, and her consort Kmakl were then captured by one of Amaram’s troops who still blamed the Kholins for the killing of Torol Sadeas. As they were going to execute Kmakl, Navani pulled out her painrial and knocked their enemies down.[11]
After that, they were joined by Adolin and later Jasnah came in to ask them to clear the center of the city and save citizens.[12] Once the battle ended, Dalinar accepted a respectful bow from the queen.[13]
Relationships
Kmakl
Her closest personal relation seems to be Kmakl, her consort. He accompanies her everywhere and usually he would only stand behind her and—whenever she said something he thought significant—nod for her scribes to record it in the official histories.[14] He would sometimes give his opinion, like his reading on the battlefield at Thaylenah.[15]

Trivia
- Thaylenah is kind of a plutocracy, with merchant councils holding a lot of power, which changes its dynamic a little when compared to Alethi or Jah Keved.[16]
