Hope Flight is a group of [[DDF]] pilots and participates in the [[Battle of Alta]].{{book ref|sky1|39}}{{book ref|sky1|1}} There are eight members of the flight and [[Ironsides]] is the flightleader.{{book ref|sky1|39}}
During the Battle of Alta, Hope Seven, [[Chaser]], turned on his fellow pilots, thinking that they were [[Krell]] and killed a number of his teammates. Chaser was shot down by his wingmate, [[Cobb]]. The surviving members of the Flight were awarded the rank of [[First Citizen]]'s for their participation in the battle.{{book ref|sky1|39}}
