Aona was a [[Shardholder]] on [[Sel]]. She was killed by [[Rayse]] before the events of [[Elantris]] took place, and the [[Shard]] that she held was Splintered. Very little is actually known about Aona. The only time the name Aona has appeared in the Canonical Cosmere books so far is in the Part 2 epigraphs of [[The Way of Kings]], where we are told that she is dead.
Due to the correlation of names, it seems likely that Aona is the holder of the Shard related to [[Aon Dor
