== Appearance and Personality ==
Balat is a young man twenty-three years old as of {{Rosharan date|1173}}.
His father smashed his poker against Balat’s leg on a fight and caused him an injury that left him walking with a cane. {{book ref|sa2|73}}
He has a history of cruelty, violence, and destructive tendencies.
