Como sugirió [[Torol Sadeas]], el [[Elhokar|rey Elhokar]] lo nombró Alto Príncipe de Información. Su primera tarea fue la investigación de un presunto intento de asesinato al rey durante una cacería de un abismoide, pero Sadeas desmintió esa afirmación más tarde.{{book ref|sa1|54}}
Sadeas renunció al título de Alto Príncipe de Información más tarde, para distanciarse de la autoridad del rey y enemistarse con el trono y con [[Dalinar]], ya que había sido idea suya instituir estas funciones en el reino de Elhokar como medio de preparar a los demás altos príncipes para su nombramiento como Alto Príncipe de la Guerra.
 
Tras el traslado a [[Urithiru]] y el asesinato de Sadeas, el alto príncipe [[Aladar]] fue nombrado Alto Príncipe de Información por Dalinar.{{Book ref|sa3|2}} Encarga a Aladar que establezca la ley y el orden en Urithiru y que se asegure de que los otros altos príncipes conocen sus ámbitos de control con Urithiru. Aladar avanza y utiliza a sus escribas y militares como fuerza policial y para investigar.{{book ref|sa3|18}}
The Highprince of Information has authority over criminal investigations, particularly those of interest to the Crown.{{book ref|sa1|22}} The title also grants permission to enter another highprince's land and question their servants and troops. Denying the Highprince of Information access to these could be taken as denying the kings will.
 
Dado que Dalinar no estaba facultado para hacerlo, cabe suponer que, o bien Elhokar ratificó esta decisión a posteriori, o bien facultó de antemano a su tío para hacer este nombramiento en su nombre.

As [[Torol Sadeas]] suggested, [[Elhokar|King Elhokar]] made him Highprince of Information. His first task was the investigation of a suspected assassination attempt on the king during a chasmfiend hunt, but Sadeas disproved that assertion later.{{book ref|sa1|54}}
Sadeas renounced the title of Highprince of Information later, in order to distance himself from the king's authority and antagonize the throne and [[Dalinar]], as it had been his idea to institute these functions into Elhokar's kingdom as a means of preparing the other Highprinces for his nomination as Highprince of War.
After the relocation to [[Urithiru]] and Sadeas' murder, Highprince [[Aladar]] was named Highprince of Information by Dalinar. As it was not in Dalinar's own authority to do so, it can be surmised that either Elhokar ratified this decision after the fact or that he gave his uncle the authority to make this nomination in his name beforehand.
