[[Hoid]] es la única persona que conocemos que toca la flauta de caminante. La flauta de Hoid está tallada en una madera muy oscura que es más pesada de lo que parece. Es lisa y tiene agujeros en toda su longitud. Se toca sosteniéndola de lado y soplando aire en ella, a diferencia de las otras flautas que normalmente se ven en [[Alezkar]], que se sostienen hacia delante.{{book ref|sa1|57}} Se desconoce el origen del nombre «flauta de caminante».
[[Hoid]] is the only person known to play the Trailman's flute. Hoid's flute is made of a very dark wood that is heavier than it looks. It is smooth and has holes along its length. It is played by holding it sideways to the mouth and blowing air over it, unlike other flutes commonly seen in [[Alethkar]] that are held out downwards in front of the user.{{book ref|sa1|57}} The origin of the name "Trailman's flute" is not known.
